Goal: Establishment of Peace & Security in Ukraine, Followed by Rebuilding Ukraine

“German government officials urged members of the international contact group on eastern Ukraine to resume negotiations for setting the line separating government-controlled areas from separatist-occupied territories.

The contact group includes Russia, Ukraine and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, or OSCE.

“We support the tireless efforts of the OSCE to bring everyone involved back to the negotiation table at another meeting of the contact group as soon as possible,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Sunday.”

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met some of the freed prisoners, who were exchanged with pro-Russian separatists in the east of the country, at a military airport near Kyiv.

“As the president and as an ordinary citizen my heart is full of joy. As promised you’ll be able to celebrate New Year with your families and military friends. That’s what we’ve been waiting for so long. Thank you very much. Long live Ukraine. Long live the heroes,” said the Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko.”
