A Search Engine based on Real World “Entity” Recognition in Webpages and Information Extraction (IE)

Rather than just Word indexing and Hyperlink Analysis (Current Generation Web Search Engine – introduced in 1998 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page through the Google Search Engine.)

We have had the same Search Engine technology for the past 17 years, with little incremental improvements.

Incremental Improvements included:

1. Refining Search Results based on User Clicks, etc (using Machine Learning Models. Changing “Parameter” values in Equations and testing to find out if users like the newer version more).

2. Parallel & Distributed Processing (to handle the ever increasing size of the Web and the number of Documents it contains)

3. Caching Search Results (for faster responses)

4. Adding “External” Semantic Data on the Search Result page, and in “Domain Specific” Search Engines (e.g., Books, Shopping, etc.).

Instances: Google bought Freebase and integrated the “Knowledge Graph”. Microsoft bought Powerset – the Wikipedia Search Engine.

  • Searches for the lowest price of ingredients deliverable on time and orders ingredients on a shopping site.
  • The shopping site delivers your product via a drone (Saw the Amazon Prime Air?) and transmits a message to your Home Robot.
  • Your Home Robot picks up the delivery and passes it to your Automated Cook.
  • Automated Cook cooks food according to the recipe.


  • A Baby Care-taker Sleeping Bed
  • Responds to baby’s screams (detection by using sensors) with movements of the bed, music etc. (to soothe the baby)
  • Automatically feeds the baby (at pre-defined time).
  • Automatically cleanses your baby (detection by using sensors; delicate actuators). (Obviously, your Baby can’t go to toilet by itself, can it?)
  • Integrated Web-cam for parents. Watch your baby on your Smartphone, swipe on your touchscreen and the Baby care-taker sleeping bed responds to the instruction.

A manufacturing facility, full of programmable Robots and Manipulators and 3D Printers, that can manufacture anything you design and the facility is scalable – it grows, produces more with need.

Startups and individuals would be able to order products on mass scale. There would be no need to set up an ultra-expensive manufacturing facility of their own. The barrier to entry would get lower. Open source would be a better model for the design of products. Anyone would be able to customize the designs and order. More innovations would follow. This would also mean more orders for the manufacturing facility.  

In short, it has the potential to start an era of proliferation of manufacturing startups in America!
